Fig and Goat Cheese Crostini

Ingredients

  • 4 Figs Fresh
  • 1/2 Baguette Bread Sliced into 12 slices
  • 3 ounces Goat Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Honey

Instructions

  • Slice 1/2 Baguette Bread into 12 slices that are about 3/4 to 1 inch thich in size. Roughly chop 4 Figs.
  • Arrange the slices of bread on a baking sheet and place them under the broiler for a few minutes until they become lightly toasted. Flip them over and toast the other side. Remove from the oven and cool.
  • Once the bread is cool spread goat cheese on each slice of bread and drizzle honey over each slice.

Notes

RECIPE TIPS
  • Be sure to sue ripe, fresh figs that are slightly soft to the touch, but not too soft.
  • To avoid soggy crostini, don't overload the toppings and serve the crostini just after they have been assembled.
